  24. Jon Postel is the Associate Director for Networking of the HPCC
  25. Division of the Information Sciences Institute (ISI) of the University
  26. of Southern California (USC).
  27.  
  28. Jon has been involved in the development of computer communication
  29. protocols and applications from the early days of the ARPANET.
  30.  
  31. Jon was the editor of many of the protocol specifications basic to the
  32. Internet including IP, TCP, Telnet, and SMTP.
  33.  
  34. He currently is a member of the Internet Architecture Board (IAB), and
  35. servers as the RFC Editor.
  36.  
  37. His current interests are include multimachine internetwork
  38. applications, multimedia conferencing, very large networks, and very
  39. high speed communications.

  41. Jon received a BS and MS in Engineering and a PhD in Computer Science
  42. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
